Well what a week over in Port Chuck. Let’s get to the meat (pun intended) of it, shall we?
- Lucky & Sam are very cute. I’m amazed at how far they have come with redeeming both characters as well as Liz. The last two years have just been the demise of all three of these characters. And as it turns out, once Jason was removed from the story they all started to become like able again. The adventures in Mexico were a refreshing change. Even the honest exchange upon their return to Port Chuck was nice, with Sam fully admitting that she becomes desperate and possessive in a realationship. Admitting that is true sign that the character has grown a bit. Though I don’t feel that Lucky & Sam make a good couple for the long run, I do like them together now. So I’ll take the good where I can get it.
- The Infectious delivery guy was a hard story to swallow, but entertaining nonetheless. There is a somewhat odd chemistry between Jason, Claudia, & Spinelli. It does make for some funny moments. With that said, a few funny moments does not change the fact that Claudia is responsible for Michael’s shooting, and therefor puts her into a category I call, “Irredeemable”. I hate when the writers box a character in like that, because nothing they write can reverse the irredeemable act in which the character took part.
- That brings me of course to Jerry Jacks, Moreau, Mr. Craig. The baddy of all baddies. Here’s the man that has double crossed EVERYONE during his time in the PC. His introduction was the killing of Alan, and he shot Robin, forcing an ugly operation, and almost killing a pregnant Liz. All of this by taking everyone hostage in his own brothers hotel. Though the actor and the character are likable, a lot, it makes no sense to have Alexis, of all people fall under his spell. I know he can offer protection, but really, it’s only a matter of time before he turns on her. I’m glad Jax socked him up. Their arrest after their fight, of course another chance for GH to bump up visibility of the Police Station for Night Shift.
- Mac is being a little silly, and arresting Patrick was the icing on the cake of that silliness. I can’t wait to see what they do with Robert when he returned over on NS…
- The photo shoot over in the metro court did nothing for me. Kate is working my nerves more and more with each passing day. And the inevitable proposal from Sonny is about as lame as Kate’s…well as lame as Kate herself.
- Speaking of Kate being lame, how has she not fired Lulu yet? On the rare occasions that Lulu is at work, she usually with Johnny, or attracting other Mafioso like Anthony Zacharra to come around and play Goodfellas in Kate’s office. Lulu’s work ethic over at Crimson is so bad that it makes Kate look even worse for keeping her there.
- Maxie on the other hand seems very real and comfortable in the new world of Crimson that GH is creating. The problem is Lulu. Their rivalry has been an enjoyable one, but it’s getting old. I have no doubt that Maxie can get to Johnny, only because she always gets to Lulu’s men, eventually. I just think they can do more with Maxie than having her keep seducing lulu’s guys…
- Since I’m at it, how about Lulu skipping work to whisk Johnny away to the Q’s boat house? Then getting flirty & sexy. Then finally, at the last second before they duck inside to do the deed, then she decides to tell him about Dhillon, and her virginity, and getting pregnant, and the abortion….Thank God Tracy stopped them because the kiss after ward had me feeling a little puky…
- Does anyone else feel serious pain every time Alan arrives in that track suit?
- I totally heart Max & Diane. They’re so cute, and they’re anti marriage views make complete sense over there in Port Chuck. I’m surprised more folks don’t run screaming form the mere mention of marriage over there…
